Dr. Setzen has the knowledge, the skills, and the values to be an exemplary surgeon and physician. About 15 years ago he operated on me to correct a deviated septum and to remove nasal polyps, and I've been seeing him ever since for all of my ENT needs. Besides being more than competent, Dr. Setzen has a delightful "bedside manner" and knows how to put his patients at ease to minimize their anxiety.

I had endoscopic sinus surgery about 1.5 years ago and I still feel great! I'm sleeping better at night, and breathing better during the day. I am no longer having constant sinus infections and I am sooo happy I had Dr. Setzen perform my surgery!

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Michael Setzen for many years. I have a chronic nasal condition and have needed several surgeries to remove reoccurring polyps. In addition, Dr. Setzen performed reconstructive surgery on my son’s nose a few years ago. My son had an extremely severe deviated septum from a childhood injury. Nasal Congestion and Sinusitis Operated on 25 Years Ago and Still Doing Well For years I had struggled with chronic nasal congestion and sinusitis. I visited my internist and ENT more times than I could count and spent more time on antibiotics than off. I was sick frequently and rarely able to breathe properly. After I was referred to Dr. Michael Setzen, everything began to change, though. He examined me and recommended I undergo surgery, a relatively new procedure at the time. The surgery made a tremendous difference in my life. I was able to stop relying so heavily on antibiotics and was able to breathe through my nose for the first time in a long time. A Far Easier Recovery Than I Anticipated I put off having surgery to repair my deviated septum and clear my sinuses for about five years. Although I knew that both of my parents had very positive experiences with Dr. Setzen, I was apprehensive about the recovery period. All I can say is that I should have had it done years ago! Dr. Setzen was great from our first consultation. Most of what he told me, I already knew from having seen it in my family, but he was really helpful in explaining to me where my own troubles lay and how he could best ease my breathing difficulties. Thanks to Dr. Setzen, I’m able to breathe out of the left side of my nose for the first time in at least five years. What impressed me so much was that thanks to increasing sophistication of the procedure and Dr. Setzen’s mastery (over 5000 surgeries performed), my recovery was far easier than I thought it would be. Pain was at a bare minimum and most days I didn’t even need Tylenol. I took his advice and iced frequently which dramatically improved my breathing even sooner than expected. Dr. Setzen saw me frequently prior to and post surgery. He was kind, patient and encouraging. I’m now only two weeks post-op and so pleased with the results. If you’ve been struggling with difficulty breathing, don’t wait any longer. Go see Dr. Setzen and get some relief. I not only breathe better awake, but thanks to him, I feel more rested from sleep have far more energy only a short time after surgery than I could have anticipated. This will definitely prove to be one of my smartest decisions!

I have had sinus problems for 45 years. After two surgeries I had given up hope for relief. I found Dr. Setzen last year. He recommended I have a balloon procedure in his office. I decided to try it on 2/21/17. No hospital, no packing and I immediately felt a difference. I could breathe easier, sleep better and have better drainage. Dr. Setzen took as much time as I needed to explain what he would do and I learned more about my sinuses. He is professional and friendly. His staff is the same. I highly recommend him and his staff.
