Michael Setzen Otolaryngology, PC is rated 5 out of 5.0 based on 51 ratings.

I had breathing problems for years from a completely deviated septum in my right nostril. I met with Dr. Setzen who was amazing and walked me through all my options. He performed a Rhinoplasty, Septoplasty endoscopic sinus surgery on me. I could not be happier with the results. My nose looks great, I can finally breathe again, and I'm sleeping better. I would highly recommend Dr. Setzen for anyone looking for skilled ENT.

Dr. Setzen removed my tonsils one week ago. His bedside demeanor made me so comfortable with my decision to have them removed as an adult. His office staff made the process very smooth. I was able to return to work 3 days after the procedure and pain was there but manageable throughout. By day 5, I was back to regular physical activities. So happy with the outcome and recovery!

Dr. Setzen is incredible. I always struggled with nasal problems and as I got older they became unbearable. I suffered from constant sinus infections and it was horrifically difficult to breathe through my nose when laying down. I first went to a different otolaryngologist who performed two surgeries on my nose, but I was left feeling no better than before with no answers as to why. Miraculously, I came across Dr. Setzen and he undoubtably changed my life. He was able to diagnose my nasal valve collapse along with other unresolved nasal/sinus issues within minutes upon walking into the room. He performed an intricate 4+ hour surgery where he reconstructed the valve collapse (tip of my nose) using cartilage from my ear, and he also removed a polyp from my sinuses and corrected other slight issues he found. That surgery was now nearly 8 years ago, and I can happily say that I am doing phenomenal. Dr. Setzen gave me a new quality of life; I no longer have difficulty breathing and rarely have any issues with my nose/sinuses. I am still under Dr. Setzen’s care to this day and can confidently say he is the best otolaryngologist around. He is kind, compassionate, and genuine - as a doctor and a man. I have the utmost respect and admiration for Dr. Setzen and his wonderful staff, and I could never find the words to express my gratitude for all of them. Do not hesitate to see Dr. Setzen; I have no doubt he can change your life just as he changed mine.

Dr. Setzen delivers on his promises. On my first appointment, he did a thorough exam including a scan. He is gentle and after spending some time with me, he suggested surgery to correct anatomical problems. I agreed as I was happy to get a clear explanation for long-term issues related to breathing, smell and post nasal drip. I had surgery on November 17 for deviated septum, turbinates, nasal stenosis and sinus inflammation. I am most grateful for Dr. Setzen as he delivered on ALL his promises. The first week is the most difficult as the nose is packed making it difficult to speak, sleep and breathe. The most significant comment is that I experienced no pain from the surgery! Dr. Setzen provided advice that made the recovery process go a lot smoother. For example, drinking plenty of water, cough drops and lip balm made a whole difference as they provided much needed comfort and relief. Dr. Setzen and Moya showed so much concern and compassion throughout the whole process. I have not had a strong, reliable sense of smell for over 40 years! I can now smell! Praise be to God! This is a difficult surgery so I highly recommend Dr. Setzen!

If you need to have any sort of work done on your nose, or if you are just looking to have it examined, you don’t need to travel any further than to the office of Dr. Michael Setzen. In August of 2021, I went to visit Dr. Setzen due to a constant difficulty associated with breathing through my nose, as well as with persistent nosebleeds. Upon entering his office, I was greeted in an extremely friendly manner by Moya, who jotted down all of my information and prepared me to see Dr. Setzen. When he asked me what my problem was, I explained to him that I had multiple issues, including constant stuffiness (which made breathing rather difficult), frequent nosebleeds dating back to when I was at the age of 2, and intense sinus pressure. He immediately decided to take a scan of my nasal structure, and he determined that I had a severely deviated septum that would most likely need to be repaired. After attempting to cauterize each nostril, he determined that cauterization was ineffective and that surgery would be needed in order to improve my quality of life. In addition to repairing my deviated septum, he also wanted to perform work on my sinuses and reduce my turbinates. Although insurance denied the sinus and turbinate work, Dr. Setzen went above and beyond to get me the care that I needed, and he managed to perform the necessary procedures successfully on October 12, 2021. Following the procedures, I visited Dr. Setzen’s office each day for the first 2 days after surgery, just to confirm that everything was moving along smoothly. I bled more frequently than most people do following the surgery, so I had to have cotton balls stuffed in my nose for the first two days after the surgery. Although I was super uncomfortable for the days during which the cotton balls were in my nose, everything became exponentially better after they were removed from my nostrils. I was able to somewhat breathe out of my nose after the cotton balls were removed, and after 1 week post operation, the nasal packing was removed from my nose. It was at this moment that I truly felt the difference from the surgery. Breathing was very easy now, and I was smelling things that I had never been able to smell before. Despite feeling much better, I was informed that it would take multiple months in order to fully recover (which is why I waited to write this review until now). As I sit here now, words can not describe how thankful I am to Dr. Setzen and his team for the work that they managed to perform on my nose. The sinus pressure is no longer present, I’ve only had one minor nose bleed since the surgery (I used to have long nosebleeds 3-4 times per week prior to the surgery), and breathing has never been better. I hope this entry helps put all concerns for those wondering whether or not they should have their nose examined and possibly worked on to rest. If you need to have anything done for you nose (as well as your ears and throat), go pay a visit to Dr. Setzen sometime. He and his team will do a tremendous job caring for you, and whatever help you are seeking, you will receive.

Dr. Setzen has been treating me for 15+ years, and I couldn't recommend a better ENT. He truly is the best of the best. I have had two odontogenic cysts that were pretty complicated. He was an incredible surgeon, and promptly caught a second cyst forming in our follow-up and was able to quickly remove it in partnership with an oral surgeon. He is kind and cares about his patients. Thank you Dr. Setzen!

I would recommend Dr. Setzen to anyone. Since I was about 6 years old (I'm 17 now) I had chronic sinusitis and tried every nasal spray and antibiotic in the book. I was so frustrated, but then my boyfriend recommended doctor Setzen look at my sinuses and nose. He found that the cause was from my deviated septum. I went into surgery almost 2 weeks later. I had an excellent recovery and was barely swollen. It has been almost a month since my surgery and I can finally breathe after all these years. I feel all around so much healthier and happier. Dr. Setzen truly walks you through the whole surgery and recovery and makes you feel so comfortable. He is excellent and so so kind. If you're having any sort of ear, nose, and throat problems, go to doctor Setzen you'll feel so much better.

Highly recommend Dr. Setzen! I had a badly deviated septum for the past 10 years after a sports injury, leading to many breathing issues and chronic nasal congestion. He was able to correct all of my issues and correct the outside appearance of my nose as it was crooked from the injury. I'm extremely happy with the results. 10/10 recommend!
